Manifesto

“I just want to be there and be helpful. But how are you supposed to have time for that when you’re drowning in paperwork?”
Harmony Gong, LMHC, LPC

WHAT WE'RE FIGHTING FOR

We spent years inside the behavioral health system, with the clinicians and caregivers holding it together.

Our Manifesto:

Pull back the curtain on unseen clinicians, making them impossible to ignore

Build a movement committed to saving those who save us.

Refuse to accept that burning out clinicians is the cost of doing business.

Use emotional truth to make silence impossible.

Give clinicians space to say ״this isn't sustainable״ without guilt or consequences.

Connect clinicians to each other so they know they're not alone and they're not wrong to demand change.

“I’ve been in this field for many years. We went from paperwork to electronics, to computers, and to electronic medical records. However, the amount of ‘paperwork’ hasn’t changed. The paperwork takes a front role even when trying to serve the client.”
Edgardo Quinones, LCSW-R
Director of Family Therapy Services and Integrated Care Coordination The Child Center of New York
“I’m only here because I’ve been willing to change. As hard as this job is for us to conduct day in and day out, it’s still not too late to make a change as long as we are able to truly invest and think about what it is that we need as therapists - not only to fulfill the client’s needs, but also ours. So being able to find that opportunity for change - that is now.”
Samantha Torres, LMSW
Social Worker The Child Center of New York
“AI technology has benefited my life. It has saved me so much time on paperwork, on progress notes, being able to complete now other work that I was going to do after my shift ends - and now I can actually do it at work.”
Sarah Garner, LMSW
Social Worker The Child Center of New York
״People don’t choose to have mental health struggles. And the people who care for them deserve not just admiration - but respect.״
Cynthia Wong
Chief Clinical Officer The Child Center of New York
